Curves versus disjointed lines, softness versus aggression. Not only do opposites attract, but every now and then, in the right hands, they can also come together to create an extraordinary level of harmony.

The Azimut 55 Flybridge is the epitome of such a union. Arising from the desire to take a sporting style exterior with strong sleek lines and combine it with a calm, cocooning interior, the result is a perfect fusion of dynamism and serenity.

The interior design by Achille Salvagni is characterised by the calm sophistication synonymous with latest generation Azimut craft. With the utmost attention to detail, every element is finished to the highest degree. Spaces are defined by soft lines, both above and below deck, and distinguished by the total absence of sharp corners and edges.

The entrance zone delights with its elegance and the fluidity of its shapes which work together to create a sense of ease and graciousness.

Attention to detail can be seen at every turn on the Azimut 55 Flybridge, with the exterior décor also a testament to elegance in a game of innovative geometries, suspended shapes and subdued colours. The centrally-located lunch zone is comfortably shaded by a large hardtop, whilst the sunpad is situated on the bow next to the helm.

The big sun lounging area in the bow is designed to act as an oasis of comfort and it draws its inspiration from the idea of a cocoon: an oversize cushion set, defined by soft, circular shapes. The adjustable backrest, split into three sections, is tall enough to use as both a sun lounger and a chaise lounge. The area of shade provided by a remarkably large and deep Bimini top can also be extended further forward, for relaxation while totally sheltered from the sun’s glare.

The cockpit is the true heart of the Azimut 55. Protected from sun and wind, it serves almost as a saloon, seamlessly flowing between interior and exterior areas. A retractable window built into the door panels further widens the horizon and creates direct access to the galley, conveniently located at the entrance to comfortably service both lunch zones.

Cruising pleasure is amplified thanks to the very best of nautical technology, such as Active Trim Control which not only ensures optimal trim no matter what the speed, but also reduces both friction and fuel consumption. Electronic Power Steering* allows you to select the sensitivity level of the wheel depending on your speed, whilst delivering great onboard safety.

With its clear stylistic echoes of home interiors, the master cabin is notable for its distinctive design elements, unique suspended pieces which continue the play of sinuous lines found throughout the boat. Hidden lighting creates a warm, enticing atmosphere, no matter what the time of day.

The bed is positioned on a diagonal to optimise liveability and freedom of movement, contributing to the sense of dynamism and fluidity the cabin creates with its continuum of lines and shapes. Generously-proportioned windows remain unencumbered by furnishings, with the wardrobes neatly fixed to the aft bulkhead.

The same level of attention to detail, fluidity of form and meticulous selection of materials which create a sense of relaxation and wellbeing elsewhere in the boat are also found in the two guest cabins. Maximum comfort is the order of the day with the Azimut 55 Flybridge , thanks to the thoughtful use of space and ergonomics.
