RIVIERA YACHTS AT THE 2013 SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW (August 1st – 5th)
26 Jul 2013
The Sydney International Boat Show is just around the corner and Boating World’s Derrick Levy says Riviera’s team of master craftsmen is hard at work finishing off their stunning boats for display including two spectacular new world release models. Derrick is hugely complimentary of this impressive show which he says all big boat owners should consider attending.
Visitors to the southern end of Cockle Bay Marina will be captivated by the new 50 Enclosed Flybridge which will take centre stage on Riviera’s huge floating display stand and the Sydney release of the new 565 SUV. These will be showcased along with six other fabulous models including the 445 SUV, 5000 Sport Yacht, 5800 Sport Yacht, 43 Open Flybridge, 53 Enclosed Flybridge, and the new Belize.
While there are plans afoot to revamp Darling Harbour over the next three years, to include a revitalized and modernized exhibition centre, the on-water displays will remain in their traditional spot. Sydney Exhibition Centre at Glebe Island will become the interim home for undercover exhibits - with easy access between the two sites thanks to complimentary transport by both road and water.
Drawing admirers like a magnet to Riviera’s on-water stand, the new 50 Enclosed Flybridge is bristling with innovation and modern technology and exciting new design features. It’s all about fun and relaxation with plenty of room for entertaining in the spacious saloon or Flybridge (the ultimate skylounge), the versatile al fresco cockpit area or on the easily accessible swim platform which gives extra space. Three large comfortable staterooms are the perfect spot in which to retire after a hard day’s play.
Powered by new generation twin Cummins QSC Zeus pod drives (with joystick, the new 50 offers about 30 per cent more fuel efficiency for hours of cruising - with a top speed of around 30 knots and delivers a range of approximately 400 nautical miles.
The new 565 SUV combines the high performance, blue water cruising and fishing capabilities of the classic Flybridge and the single-level leisurely entertaining features of the popular Sport Yacht series.
Other exciting features include the sleek low profile hardtop with two large sliding sunroof hatches, a large helm station to port, Volvo joystick for easy maneuvering, four high-quality helm chairs, two of which swivel 180 degrees to face the saloon, an uncluttered cockpit space with plenty of storage, mezzanine seating, and an optional hydraulic swim platform for a small tender. Six to eight adults can sleep in the flexible and luxurious three cabin (two bathrooms) space
A fabulous launch party is planned during the show for the 50 and 565 and Riviera is also offering an exclusive Volvo Penta package at the Sydney Boat Show. New Riviera owners will enjoy three years of free engine and pod drive servicing – if they buy at the show.
This is Australia’s biggest annual boat show with fun for the whole family – and the promise of seeing the best boats in the business. This year will be no exception.
