BOATING WORLD RETURN’S TO THE DURBAN BOAT & LIFESTYLE SHOW

Boating World will be returning to this year’s Durban Boat & Lifestyle Show (Friday 24th - Sunday 26th June 2016) after one of the most exciting years of releases and accolades for the range of sail and motor yachts that the dealer represents. Every brand has excelled this past year, continuing a tradition that Boating World represents some of the most highly demanded vessels around the globe.
Starting with Jeanneau Yachts and the release of the Jeanneau 54 in 2015, which went on to win Best Sailing Yacht at the 2016 Asia Boating Awards and was named Slovenian Boat of the Year. It is also the proud holder of the title, 2016 Croatian Boat of the Year 2016 in its class. The Jeanneau Leader 46 was a 2016 European Powerboat of the Year nominee and also received the Slovenian Boat of the Year Award in the open and hard tops 10 to 18 metres category. With these accolades in hand, the entire Jeanneau range is enjoying exceptional international sales worldwide.
This year Fountaine Pajot celebrates 40 years of master boat building. The build up to the celebration saw the launch of three exciting new models in late 2015. The Catamaran Motor Yacht MY 37, a 2016 European and Asia Power Boat of the Year nominee, The Catamaran Lucia 40, declared a revolution in its class for the remarkable space and volume it offers and also a 2016 Asia Boat of the Year nominee is its class. The flagship launch of 2015 was the Catamaran Ipanema 58, which has won Cruising World’s 2016 Best Charter Boat. Only in its second year of representing the Fountaine Pajot range, Boating World anticipates exciting growth for this brand in the African region.
Highly awarded, Riviera’s luxury yachts have long been a firm favourite in Sub Saharan Africa and its adjacent island’s. 2015 saw the launch of two new Flybridge models, the 52 and the 57 Enclosed, the new models are a continuation of Riviera’s Flybridge trademark reputation of being “supremely seaworthy and easy-to-skipper”. Making big waves at both the 2016 Miami and Dubai boat shows was Riviera’s latest addition to the Sport Yacht range, the 5400 and just launched this May at the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show was the new 575 SUV. As the Riviera ranges grow, customers will see more and more, Riviera’s commitment to offering flexible options and price points for entry.
Fairline Yachts kickedoff the new year with a strong new investor announcement and the appointment of marine industry veteran Russell Currie as the new MD. Fairline has since revealed a new partnership with Italian yacht designer Alberto Mancini and renowned Dutch naval engineers, Vripack. The latest announcement commences a new era in Fairline’s rich history and we expect some impressive new designs over the coming months from the Boatyard.
Sea Ray motor yachts, has been honoured by the US National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) as the Most Awarded Boat Brand ever. Following this announcement the latest 2016 models have all made a huge impression around the globe. The Sea Ray L590FLY & 400 SUNDANCER were both nominees in the 2016 Asia Boat of the Year awards for best production motor yacht in there class and the L590FLY was also a 2016 European Boat of the Year nominee. The Sea Ray 650FLY was also nominated for best yacht design Asia Boat of the Year Awards.
