MIKALA PLOTZ FROM LOWRANCE FISHES IN KWAZULU NATAL WITH 'GO FISH WITH LOWRANCE' TV PROGRAMME

Mikala Plotz is rapidly becoming the very familiar face of Lowrance SA among dealers in Gauteng – in her capacity as Customer Relations representative for the well known distributor.

Having grown up in boating circles, her understanding of the industry and growing expertise in the wide selection of fishfinder/GPS options is proving invaluable to those she visits daily.

To their delight many dealers have discovered that Mikala is also an avid angler who makes use of every opportunity to go fishing and she already has a number of “fishy” tales to share.

Going along for the ride during the filming of the popular “Go Fish with Lowrance” TV programme recently – she caught this beautiful 16kg Cuda!

She has also spent several weeks in KwaZulu Natal undergoing product training on-the-water and several hours at sea testing different units in various applications – particularly the Lowrance HDS-10, radar and Structure Scan units.

Under Skipper Jakes van den Berg’s expert tutorship, Mikala, Miguel Araujo from Boating International’s accessories department and other Lowrance team members learned exactly how these superior units benefit commercial anglers.

Judging by the healthy number of fish caught, their training proved really worth while and

Mikala landed this 8.0kg Geelbek in just under 10 minutes. She said, “It put up quite a fight but I was determined to show the guys that this was one fish that wouldn’t get away.”

Miguel caught his first ever fish-  a 4kg False Englishman.
