Azimut Fly 53

The Alberto Mancini designed Azimut 53 Fly features IPS propulsion, a feature-packed flybridge, split-level main-deck interior and roomy lower-deck accommodation. It is a perfect family boat designed for spending long periods on board, all while staying true to Azimut's hallmark style.

The generously proportioned day area is laid out on almost the same level, with the galley near the entrance and the living area separated by a difference in height of just 25 centimeters.  The surprising sense of airiness and freedom of movement that this creates is enhanced by side windows that run uninterrupted, with no uprights, from just beyond the entrance area to the windscreen.  As a result, natural light and the view over the water are the undisputed protagonists of the yacht, adding to the pleasure of spending time on board.

The choice of VOLVO’s IPS propulsion system, which keeps the center of gravity low and reduces the amount of space needed in the engine room, makes it possible not only to reduce the height of the step between the galley and the living area, but also to offer a night area that meets the expectations of the whole family.

The master stateroom amidships offers a predominantly full-height space to move around in. The storage spaces in the suite are unbelievable, with a fully appointed walk-in wardrobe, in addition to a second storage column and half-height units along the hull side, plus additional space under the bed for bulkier objects.

When designing the exterior area, the focus was again on convenience. With only one stairway to the swim platform, the L-shaped sofa in the cockpit is more prolonged, deeper, and therefore more comfortable, while the exterior storage cabin (or crew cabin) can be accessed directly from the transom. The setting can also be fitted with a bar unit with an ice maker and bottle chillers.

The foredeck and flybridge sun pad cushions have a shape, thickness, and size that are an anthem to laziness and very hard to resist. And in the rear section of the flybridge, the classic dinette becomes more versatile, proposing an up-down table that turns it into a second lounge area with a privileged vantage point over the water.

PROPULSION

The naval architecture developed by Azimut-Benetti R&D team combined with the choice of a propulsion system featuring two Volvo Penta IPS 950s, ensures not only more volume on board but also comfort, efficiency and maneuverability. The two engines deliver a top speed of 31 knots and a cruising speed of 27 knots, significantly reducing consumption and noise and making mooring operations even simpler.
