Design duo, Andrew Winch an Philipp Briand take a break from tradition, with the new look Jeanneau Yachts 55, to better meet the expectations of avid sailors headed for far-off destinations.
On the exterior, the Dual Cockpit takes on new meaning on the Jeanneau 55. The aft is dedicated to relaxation, featuring: two saloons, one U-shaped and one L-shaped, which each convert into sundecks, and a gigantic hydraulic swim platform. The twin helms are positioned forward, and even feature an exterior chart table with a GPS screen and autopilot controls, all sheltered by the hard top and the wide, wrap around windscreen, offering remarkable visibility. These innovations enable owners to cruise in all seasons and latitudes, placing the pleasure of sailing back at the heart of life on board.
Below deck the interiors are refined and bright with a unique layout design that evokes the sense of a private apartment. The forward owner's suite occupies fully two-thirds of the interior. And the two additional cabins, each with private bathrooms enable guests to perfectly enjoy their independent living spaces, accessible from the cockpit by two separate companionways.
The Jeanneau 55 replaces both the Jeanneau 51 and Jeanneau 54 and remains faithful to the spirit of the Jeanneau line – with elegance, high performance, and comfort for offshore sailing and longer voyages.
