The Azimut Seadeck 9

28 May 2026

Nature, sharing and freedom, reimagined at 25 metres.

The Seadeck 9 is not simply the largest boat in Azimut's celebrated Seadeck Series. It is the clearest statement yet of where Italian yacht building is headed. Beauty, technology and sustainability converge in a design that challenges how we think about life on the water.

At the heart of the Seadeck 9's identity are three words: nature, sharing and freedom. As the ambassador of Azimut's Low Emission Yacht fleet, this 25-metre hybrid yacht sets a new benchmark for what environmentally conscious boating can look, feel and perform like, without asking owners to compromise on a single luxury. Fuel consumption is reduced by at least 20% compared to equivalently sized vessels with traditional hull and shaft propulsion, while annual CO2 emissions are cut by up to 40% compared to the broader market.

"Azimut has inaugurated a new path, towards a more attentive approach to environmental sustainability where humans and nature rekindle their gentle relationship."

The exterior lines are the work of Alberto Mancini, whose blade-like silhouette and wrap-around glazing give the Seadeck 9 a monolithic, thoroughly contemporary presence on the water. Inside, Milan-based designers Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez have crafted spaces that feel deliberately unhurried. Natural materials, floor-to-ceiling windows and a layout that blurs the boundary between indoors and sea form the core of the interior language. The brief was to bring owners and guests back to nature.

"The Seadeck 9 is the product of 50 years spent making the unthinkable possible, 50 years of challenges overcome." Giovanna Vitelli, chair of the Azimut|Benetti Group

The most talked-about innovation is the Fun Island, Azimut's signature aft deck concept, here transformed into a cascading sequence of three terraces spanning over 60 square metres. An integrated pool sits at the centre, flanked by sliding sundecks that can close over it entirely, while a generous platform extends down to the waterline. The effect is less a traditional swim platform and more a private beach club at sea. It is social architecture as much as naval design.

Beneath the waterline, three Volvo Penta IPS 1350 diesel-electric hybrid pods, each delivering 1,000 hp, provide a top speed approaching 27 knots. Carbon fibre superstructure technology, pioneered in collaboration with Azimut's R&D department, reduces structural weight by up to 30%, unlocking interior volumes and stability that would be impossible in a conventional build of the same displacement.

The first hull of the Seadeck 9 hit the water at Azimut's Avigliana facility in early 2026, the largest yacht ever launched from that storied mountain-foot shipyard. Its public debut is set for the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival. If the Seadeck 9 represents what Azimut calls the maximum expression of the series, it also represents something broader: a confident argument that the future of performance yachting and the future of responsible yachting are, in fact, the same thing.
