Miami’s the place to be this month, as thousands of excited boaters make their annual pilgrimage to this boating capital of the world - to see the latest and very best from leading manufacturers worldwide at the prestigious Miami International Boat Show  (Feb14th  –18th).

Choices will be greater than ever at this popular show which spans an incredible 1.2 million square feet in the heart of Miami Beach – and is hosted at three venues: the Miami Beach Convention Center, Miamarina at Bayside, and the Sea Isle Marina and Yachting Center.

Australia’s Riviera (manufacturers of Sport Fishers and Cruisers) will be there for the 13th consecutive year, showcasing an awesome range of new models and London-manufacturers Fairline Boats have an impressive selection of stunning Squadron and Targa cruisers.

Riviera’s newest models featuring the latest in pod drive propulsion technology will make their Miami debut and include the new 445 SUV, next generation 5000 Sport Yacht with twin Zeus, 5800 Sport Yacht and the 53 Enclosed Flybridge   All four models feature twin pod drive installations. (The popular 63 Enclosed Flybridge and 43 Open Flybridges will also be there).

The new 445 is a true crossover between Riviera’s individual model series, combining the high performance, blue water cruising capabilities and large open cockpit of the classic Flybridge with the fish raising capabilities of the Offshore Express, and the leisurely single-level entertaining features of the popular Sport Yacht series.

The new twin IPS 900 engine configurations for the 5800 Sport Yacht and 53 Enclosed Flybridge has even further enhanced the performance and efficiency necessary for longer range cruising - which requires economic fuel efficiency and the ability to maintain consistent boat speed often under full load conditions.

Recent sea trials of these two vessels produced impressive results, with the 5800 Sport Yacht delivering a cruise speed of 25 knots with a fuel burn of 180 litres per hour.  The 53 Enclosed Flybridge also comfortably cruised at 25 knots with a gyroscopic stabiliser fitted.

Riviera will have information on the bespoke Belize Motoryacht range, which was recently named ‘most innovative new builder’ at the inaugural AIM (Active Interest Media) Marine Group Editors’ Choice Awards in Fort Lauderdale, USA.  The Belize 52 is available in two models, the Sedan or Daybridge.

Visitors will also be able to step aboard the latest edition of the Fairline fleet the Fairline Squadron 60, as well as find out about the exciting range of 48ft models coming to market in 2013.

The glittering lineup of Squadron and Targa models includes the Targa 38 Open, Targa 50GT, Targa 62 GT, Squadron 50 and Squadron 65

The sporty Targa 38 OPEN hard top is one of the most eagerly awaited Fairlines to date and coupled with D6-400 Volvo engines – also one of the fastest Fairline ever built. Even fully loaded this seven-sleeper can easily push into the mid-40 knot range.

Of course the sought-after Squadron 50 will attract huge attention and those who have seen the one which has just arrived in Cape Town (the first in the country) – will understand why she’s in such demand. She’s everything and more than one can ask. Beautifully finished, massive entertainment areas inside and out, spectacular light-filled en-suite accommodation and power to boot – she’s a one-of-a-kind 51-footer.

As for the hugely elegant Squadron 65 she has to be seen to be believed with her long and wide single-level interiors luxuriously finished for maximum practicality and comfort, complemented by the huge flybridge which sums up the personality of this yacht.
