Meet Luka Zeeman – Boating World’s new receptionist – who has made a radical change from beauty technology to the marine industry which is keeping her on her toes  as she negotiates this exciting new world.

She takes over from Jessica Muller who is now full time PA to Derrick and Suzanne Levy.

Luka grew up in the small Western Cape town of Darling – the perfect place for a carefree youth spent with her parents and brother. After matriculating at Abbotts College she set off for Cape Town to study further.

Qualifying as a makeup artist and beauty therapist, Luka worked for well known cosmetic houses before starting her own business as a travelling therapist.  The nature of her work and client base exposed her to different fields and soon she was also involved in wedding and events co-ordination.

Developing a different skill set combined with her enthusiasm for new ventures prompted Luka to change direction. Her love of watersport - as an open water scuba diver with a new found interest in sailing – motivated her to apply for the receptionist position which opened up at Boating World.

Apart from being the new voice of the company, Luka will assist with the many social functions Boating World arranges for the benefit of their boating clients.

She is married to Clayton who shares her passion for action and pleasure in watersport, hiking, horse riding, travel and even geocaching.   (This is a treasure hunting game using a GPS to hide and seek containers with other participants in the activity).

Luka’s friendly approach and enthusiasm will undoubtedly benefit both Boating World and the company’s important clients.
