EXCITEMENT FOR SOUTH AFRICA FAIRLINE IMPORTERS
18 Nov 2014
Big boaters are all waiting the imminent arrival of not just one but two luxurious Fairline cruisers in Cape Town this month!
Handpicked by Boating World’s Derrick Levy with local taste and needs in mind, the magnificent Targa 38 Open and the Targa 48 Open models will far surpass the expectations of even the most discerning.
Derrick is so excited to see the stunned reaction of those lining up to view these magnificent craft which will soon escape the confines of their ship travelling from Oundle (outside London). It won’t be long before proud new owners leave the hustle and bustle of life far behind as they surge off into untamed waters surrounding the tip of our continent, liberating adventurous dreams.
The Fairline Targa 38 and Targa 48 Open models are perfectly designed to cope with our treacherous coastline with their sleek design, strong, streamlined hulls, superb handling and sparkling engine dynamics from the latest generation of Volvo outdrives.
Exhilarating performance (even fully loaded) from her powerful twin engines and the smaller of the two, the sporty Targa 38 enters a league of her own. This sexy, sporty hard-top version boasts an electrically-operated roof which opens at a mere flick of a switch - and the outside comes streaming in from above for a stunning open-air feel.
She’s packed with luxurious features with ample space for a large group of day-trippers and she easily sleeps up to seven people. She has a large forward cabin, a guest cabin with twin berths and an optional sofa bed converts into a third berth.
The Targa 38 is the perfect craft for exploring tranquil spots made easier thanks to the bow thruster options or for simply going hell for leather and blasting away the cobwebs.
Super sibling – the Targa 48 Open is another stunner. This fabulously sleek Sports Cruiser is supremely elegant, boasting vast open spaces and stunning interior appointments and is available for immediate purchase in full or part time ownership options. Contact Derrick Levy for all the details on investment.
Thanks to her V-hull she cuts through any chop with ease and powerful twin 600 Diesel engines (capable of 435mhp each) give a combined top speed of around 32 knots. Her ride is solid and sure footed keeping all spray and wake very low in the water. She is highly responsive with exceptional turning and stability.
The Targa 48 Open towers above the water (15ft 1in or 4.60m) for great views with panoramic windows adding to the airy and light look-feel. Undoubtedly one of the favourite social spots is the huge cockpit where the powered retractable canvas cockpit cover lets the sunlight in.
At least 12 - 15 people can be comfortably accommodated on day trips and six people can overnight in two sumptuous en-suite cabins with the option of a third.
As expected there’s loads of storage space and there’s even a garage (with hydraulic hinges to lift the door) to house a sporty 100hp Williams Jet RIB 285 tender. Options also include a submersible powered bathing platform. Apart from offering easy access in and out of the boat, this would be a great spot for casting a line or getting onboard your SUP.
Look out for the new arrivals which will be languishing at Granger Bay before new owners whisk them away on a jaunt to an exotic spot.
