Karl Gilding has been appointed to head up the Yacht Division, ensuring the Fairline sales process for its larger yachts is seamless for customers – from choosing a boat right through to delivery. In his role, Karl will also actively help grow Fairline’s dealer network in North America, a region that the brand is committed to expanding.

Karl joins a strong and established global sales team at Fairline that is resolute in supporting and growing its dealer network in core markets. He brings to the role a wealth of global boat industry knowledge and experience acquired during his 30 years in the marine industry.

Karl began his career in the marine business with the first importer of Sea Ray Boats and has experience in both the retail and manufacturing sides of the industry. He then joined Fairline Boats in 1998 as Global Sales Manager and was instrumental in setting up Fairline’s Yacht Division in 2003. Karl went on to work as Sales and Dealer Development Manager for Sunseeker International, before returning to Fairline.

Karl commented: “I am delighted to be working for Fairline Boats, which has what I believe to be the best dealer network in the world. I’m excited to be part of the future plans for Fairline, helping to welcome new dealers to the brand and growing our customer base in new and existing territories worldwide. I do look forward to working closely with customers to ensure they continue to have the best possible experience when buying their Fairline.”

Colin Sykes, CEO, said: “We are very pleased to be welcoming Karl back to our global sales team. He brings extensive knowledge of both Fairline’s heritage and the global leisure boating sector as a whole to the role. Fairline is committed to showcasing its range across the globe, with the strongest dealer network in the world.

“The factory forward order book now stands at its highest level for two years, excluding orders we have taken for the new 53ft range. We are excited by our product development progamme that benefits from the ongoing investment support of our shareholders. We remain on track to debut the Targa 53 GRAN TURISMO at this September’s PSP Southampton Boat Show and the Squadron and OPEN 53 models in early 2016.”
