BOATING WORLD TO SHINE AT 2015 DURBAN BOAT SHOW

08 Jun 2015

Looking for a hot spot this winter? It’s all happening in Durbs-by-the-Sea in July so shake off those woollies and head for the action. You’ll find Boating World right in the thick of things!

The Durban International Boat and Lifestyle show on the marina is just the place for a feast of fun and best of all its slap bang in the middle of the winter school holidays.

So soak in the warmth of the balmy East Coast sunshine while strolling the jetties - surrounded by a gorgeous array of majestic sailing yachts, luxurious cruisers and fishing boats languishing in the water.

This is the 12th year that Boating World’s will have a stunning stand on the water - this time boasting a very different look/feel with two sailing yachts added into their mix of gorgeous boats. Anglers will not be disappointed as they’ve also been well catered for with a stunning Riviera 37 Sport Fisher which is fully equipped and ready to go.

As always, Derrick Levy and his smartly turned-out crew will be more than ready to welcome visitors on board to show off all their craft on show.

Having recently become Africa’s agents for both Fontaine Pajot and Jenneau it was a natural response to have these fine craft on display.

A closer look at the Fountaine Pajot– and you’ll notice that this beautiful catamaran totally delivers on space, safety, and performance.  Her wide spacious design is conducive to easy movement with loads of room throughout.

She boasts great accommodation, a fully-equipped galley and comfortable seating for at least eight guests. Perfect for cruising at sea – even in harsh conditions she’s capable of being away from land for long periods of time.

Of course you can’t miss a peak at the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 379 alongside. Bearing the unmistakable stamp of designer Marc Lombard – it’s clearly evident that special attention was given to the ease of sail handling, the ergonomics and the modern aesthetics.

This monohull sailing yacht is an impressive performance cruiser with speed, stability and impressive safety features. No wonder she was chosen as Cruising World’s Boat of the Year!

The luxurious Riviera 37 Sport Fisher is a fantastic fishing machine with luxurious finishes, power and space. Close on 43’ in length, she’s also great for offshore game fishing, ideal for cruising to Mozambique or further and entertaining friends or spending the weekend on the water with family.

Sporting powerful twin diesel Volvo 370hp motors to get to where the “big ones” hang out - she’s responsive yet remarkably quiet.  Seasoned anglers will appreciate her spacious comfort, spectacular flybridge views and umpteen practical fishing features.

Radar, GPS/ fishfinder, fighting chair, outriggers, stainless steel rod holders and a live-bait well in the transom – you name it, it’s there! She certainly gives anglers more than a fighting chance to catch loads of fish.

Several anglers can bait up together and attend to a large number of rods in the huge cockpit even with the fighting chair in place.

So come on down to Durban Marina and see for yourself.  Bring your family and friends – they’ll enjoy the festive atmosphere filled with lively music, fabulous food and loads of refreshments to tickle the taste buds.

Don’t miss this great opportunity to find out more about the many other beautiful craft available from Boating World.
