Tennis Star Rafael Nadal has commissioned a Sunreef 80 Power Catamaran. An avid multihull enthusiast, the international tennis superstar has selected Sunreef’s soon to be launched 80ft motor yacht to be his next yachting investment of choice, having visited and chartered Sunreef Yachts’ catamarans in the past.
It was announced in June that Nadal had put his 23.5-metre MCY 76 Beethoven yacht on the market asking £2.3million, just £300 000 less than what he paid in 2016.
“As someone from an island as I am, the sea is part of our lives and it’s not a secret that I love the sea. Every time I am at home in Mallorca I try to go out and find that time where I can just enjoy my time on a boat. I am very happy to be on board Sunreef Yachts family and would like to thank Mr. Francis Lapp for making this possible.” Rafael Nadal shared at the announcement.
“We are very excited to have one of the greatest tennis players of all time on board with us. Mr. Nadal’s personality, skills and strength are an inspiration to us,” said Francis Lapp – Sunreef Yachts Founder and President.
With 82 titles overall including 18 Grand Slam victories as well as a record 34 ATP Tour Masters 1000 titles, Rafael Nadal is one of the world’s most renowned athletes. His fully-customized catamaran is due for delivery in 2020.
The first model from the 80 Sunreef Power range is to premiere in September 2019 at the Cannes Yachting Festival. This luxury multihull is a pedigree motor yacht, blending seaworthiness and supreme comfort for worldwide navigation.
