Jeanneau Unveils the New Sun Odyssey 415
25 Jun 2025
Jeanneau has officially launched the 9th generation of its legendary Sun Odyssey range, marking a bold new chapter for one of the world’s most celebrated cruising ranges. Built for accessibility, reliability, and enhanced onboard enjoyment, this new evolution offers even more in terms of comfort, performance, and storage.
As the official distributor of Jeanneau in Southern Africa, Boating World is pleased to introduce the new Sun Odyssey 415 to its distinguished portfolio, further expanding its offering of premium cruising yachts.
A Trusted Team and Visionary Design
Once again, Jeanneau has placed its confidence in an outstanding collaboration — uniting the naval architecture of the Marc Lombard Design Team with the refined styling of Jean-Marc Piaton Yacht Design. The result is a yacht that remains true to the Sun Odyssey spirit while ushering in a fresh design language, both inside and out.
Characterised by striking new exterior lines, this generation redefines life onboard through a completely reimagined interior design approach.
Meet the New Sun Odyssey 415
At the forefront of this 9th generation is the Sun Odyssey 415, a yacht that embodies all the advancements of the line. Benefiting from the proven hull of the iconic Sun Odyssey 410, the 415 combines elegance with performance. Her inverted bow cuts cleanly through the water, while her continuous, well-defined hard chine adds both strength and beauty.
Designed for comfortable family cruising with uncompromising sailing performance, the 415 delivers a unique and confident helm experience — thanks to twin rudders with self-aligning bearings. With a lighter overall weight and a larger sail area, this new model promises outstanding responsiveness under sail.
A standout feature is the yacht’s market-leading versatility. With four sail plans and three keel options, the Sun Odyssey 415 is adaptable to a wide variety of sailing styles and conditions.
Signature Exterior Enhancements
The sculpted hull form and powerful aft transom lend the Sun Odyssey 415 a bold, modern identity. The repositioned backstay — now set further aft — improves comfort at the twin helms, while Jeanneau’s signature walkaround sidedecks, exclusive to the brand, ensure easy and obstacle-free movement around the deck.
Deck hardware is intuitively positioned within the cockpit for optimal handling, while high protective coamings provide both safety and a sense of security. A recessed cockpit allows for seamless access to the expansive swim platform and the sea beyond.
Interior Innovation for Comfortable Cruising
Step below deck and discover a refreshed interior that prioritises function and comfort. The spacious L-shaped galley, ideally located at the companionway base, enables easy transition between interior and exterior. It features thoughtful, practical solutions such as a removable sink cover that doubles as a splash guard, and a dedicated sponge holder tucked below the sink.
The saloon comfortably seats five, bathed in natural light from hull windows. Large, easily accessible storage areas are located beneath the seating, offering ample room for gear and provisions.
Opposite the saloon is a forward-facing chart table designed for two, integrating all necessary systems into one intuitive command station. Additional storage and a bookshelf complete this liveable, functional space — ideal for extended time onboard with family and friends.
Competitive Value with No Compromise
What truly sets the Sun Odyssey 415 apart is Jeanneau’s resolutely competitive pricing strategy. This model stands as a benchmark for value in the cruising sailboat market — delivering excellence in design, construction, and performance without compromise.
The Sun Odyssey will make its world debut at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival, for buyers looking for an opportunity to buy in early, Boating World is now exclusively offering the new Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 415 as part of our Jeanneau range.
